WASHINGTON – Heritage Action, a conservative grassroots organization with 2.5 million grassroots activists nationwide, today issued a key vote in support of President Trump’s Rescissions Package (H.R. 4). This is Heritage Action’s first legislative key vote of the 119th Congress.
Heritage Action Executive Vice President Ryan Walker released the following statement in support of this rescissions package:
“Heritage Action applauds the work President Trump and his administration have done to deliver a bold rescissions package to Congress. This critical legislation will rein in reckless government spending and protect American taxpayer dollars.
President Trump has shown unwavering commitment to delivering on promises made to the American people to ensure taxpayer-funded initiatives are no longer rife with waste, and that programs like PEPFAR, which have strayed from their original intent and no longer align with the values of the American people, are redirected to their intended purposes.
Heritage Action Sentinels demand their taxpayer dollars prioritize common sense policies. We urge all members of Congress to support this rescissions package to codify cuts in wasteful spending identified by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and restore fiscal trust in our nation’s institutions. This vote will be included on our legislative scorecard, the first key vote of the 119th Congress, to hold lawmakers accountable for their commitment to fiscal responsibility.”
