Washington - Shortly before midnight, congressional leaders unveiled a 233-page tax extenders package that represents the most significant changes to our nation's convoluted tax code since 2012. Then, shortly before 2 AM Wednesday morning, they unveiled a $1.149 trillion, 2,009-page omnibus spending bill. Heritage Action released the following statement from chief executive officer Michael A. Needham:

"In fewer than 48 hours, lawmakers will likely be asked to vote on two massive bills that were negotiated behind closed doors over the past several weeks. Heritage Action is reviewing both bills and will educate conservative constituents across the country on the policies buried in all 2,242 pages."
