America’s Grassroots Support Judge Amy Coney Barrett
Washington—Today, President Trump announced the nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court. Heritage Action issued a statement from Executive Director Jessica Anderson applauding the nomination and announcing grassroots support for a swift confirmation.
President Trump has made an excellent choice. Judge Amy Coney Barrett is an immensely qualified judge and highly respected by her peers on the bench. Judge Barrett has a sterling reputation, clear record of originalist jurisprudence, and a deep respect for the Constitution. We have heard an outpouring of support for Judge Barrett from grassroots Americans — Senators should listen and quickly vote to confirm her.
Just three years ago, a bipartisan Senate majority confirmed Judge Barrett’s nomination to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Chairman Graham and Leader McConnell should swiftly move forward with hearings and a confirmation vote before the upcoming election.
To support this critical process, Heritage Action will activate our grassroots network of over one million activists and use our extensive battleground-state canvassing operation in Iowa, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin to push for a speedy confirmation. We will knock 200,000 additional doors in the next month to harness that support.
