Keep Illegal Aliens Off Our Roads

Dalilah Coleman was five years old when she was hit by an 18-wheeler driven by an illegal alien. The truck plowed into her stopped car at over 60 miles an hour. After spending 3 weeks in a coma, 4 months without half her skull, and 6 months in the hospital, she now enters first grade unable to walk, talk, or eat without assistance.

Illegal aliens who do not speak English and cannot read road signs should not be issued commercial driver's licenses (CDLs). That's just common sense. However, our laws do not reflect this. States continue providing loopholes and alternate avenues for illegal immigrants to remain on our roads.

Open borders policies and ruinous amnesty laws allowed criminals to infiltrate the country without consequence. The Trump administration has been working to fix these glaring issues, but without Congress, any executive branch solution could (and would) be immediately undone by a future Democrat president.

The Dalilah Law (S. 3917 / H.R. 7793) led by Senator Jim Banks (R-IN) and Representative Erin Houchin (R-IN), will make fully illegal providing any state-issued CDL to illegal aliens, as well as require all commercial vehicles to display a permanent, reflective, non-magnetized business name visible up to 100ft away.

Dalilah is one of many innocent victims of illegal aliens invading the country each day. Her name is not just another statistic.

Her name should be written into law.
