What Americans Should Know About CRIME

Blog Articles · Jul 12, 2024 · Defense and National Security

Crime has skyrocketed since President Biden and Vice President Harris took office. This is a direct result of bad policy that legalizes deadly drugs, defunds the police, ends cash bail, and allows violent criminals back onto the streets.

THE ROGUE PROSECUTOR PROBLEM

Rogue prosecutors backed by leftist billionaires like George Soros refuse to enforce the law.

FAST FACT: Of the 30 cities in the U.S. with the highest homicide rates, 27 of them have Democratic mayors and 14 of them have Soros-backed rogue prosecutors. Those 14 cities with rogue prosecutors accounted for 68% of homicides in the 30 top homicide cities in the country. As a result, police are making fewer arrests and criminals know they won’t get caught or prosecuted

THE CONSEQUENCES OF DEFUNDING THE POLICE

Violent crime escalated across the country in 2020 as social justice protests and riots ignited and police departments were defunded under directive from the Biden-Harris administration.

FAST FACT: From June 2020 to June 2021, a survey of nearly 200 police departments nationwide showed a 45% increase in retirement rates and nearly a 20% increase in resignations among police officers and law enforcement – the result of the Left’s efforts to demonize and demoralize America’s police force.

THE LEFT’S AGENDA TO LEGALIZE DEADLY DRUGS

Cities across the country have fallen victim to the Left’s push to legalize harmful drugs, and have seen a corresponding increase in crime.

FAST FACT: Following the Left’s implementation of Measure 110 in Oregon–a law to decriminalize drugs like fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, and meth–homicides increased by 236% in Portland, and overdose deaths increased by 75% between 2020-2022.

STOREFRONTS CLOSING AND SMALL BUSINESSES STRUGGLING

Nine out of ten small business retailers nationwide have experienced theft at their stores in both red and blue states, leading to store closures in cities and surrounding areas.

FAST FACT: The state with the highest average total value of stolen goods per capita is Pennsylvania, where the total value of stolen goods is $430 per capita.

INCREASING JUVENILE CRIME

As a result of Biden and Harris’ Covid school closures, many youth lost the ability to participate in extracurricular activities and were left to the streets, resulting in a juvenile crime spike.

FAST FACT: The Left is changing laws to weaken penalties for teen juveniles, despite the fact that juvenile violence increased by 23% from 2020 to 2021.

To preserve a free and safe America, we need policies that protect Americans from deadly drugs, support police that keep our communities safe, uphold our laws, and keep dangerous criminals off our streets. Know where your elected officials stand on the safety and security of our neighborhoods.
