Make the call during normal business hours (9am - 5pm EST) and provide your name and address if asked.
My name is [NAME] and I am a constituent from [CITY, STATE].
I am calling to urge you to vote “NO” on the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (H.R. 3684).
Over the past year and a half, Congress has used COVID as an excuse to dramatically increase spending. This bill recklessly spends over $1 trillion dollars, despite the fact that the national debt is approaching $30 trillion and inflation is surging to levels not seen in two decades.
The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) reported that this bill is not paid for and will add more than $250 BILLION to the national debt. Even worse, just one-tenth of the bill’s total spending is for roads and bridges. Our country cannot afford to foot the enormous cost of this bill for wasteful spending.
Please vote “NO” on H.R. 3684. Don’t drive up the debt for wasteful spending.
Thank you for passing along my message. Have a good day.
.@RepStefanik, Vote no on the “Infrastructure” bill (H.R. 3684) - just one-tenth of this $1 Trillion “infrastructure” bill is for roads and bridges. And the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office reported that this bill will add more than $250 BILLION to the national debt.
