Email Your Senators To Oppose ENDA

The Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) would severely undermine civil liberties, increase government interference in the labor market, and trample on religious liberty. It is flawed public policy based in part on the tenuously defined term “gender identity,” which is commonly understood to be subjective, self-disclosed, and self-defined.

ENDA would potentially discourage job creation because it would increase government interference in the labor market. Under this bill, business would be required by law to adopt the government’s values which are based on a vague, subjective definition of “gender identity.”

What’s the point when our Republican senators are wimping out on all liberal issues?

    • efred1

Throw the spineless bastards out of office, and replace them in the primary.

      • jjet

efred, No, No, No. I may agree in part how you feel. But, WE must get the majority in the senate. Yes most are bums on both sides, but the progressive agenda must be stopped. Our way of life, and freedoms are in desperate dangers. I say get the majority, then we wittle away the rinos and the ones who forgot what and Who they’re supposed to be there for. Who have forgotten, or never learned about the most amazing concept, THE USA.

        • efred1

What’s the point of keeping such turncoats in office, when they’ll only stab you in the back when you need them to stand behind you and support you? How is having a majority of (R)’s in the Senate that vote almost exactly like the (D)’s going to get anything in your agenda/platform accomplished? It’s nothing but a Fool’s errand, and absolutely nothing will get changed.

When the only difference between the Republican incumbent and the Democrat challenger is the (R) or (D) next to their name, it’s high time to get rid of the Benedict Arnold in your midst, and replace him in the primary with someone better, which in many cases, won’t take much.

Seems our nation is a nation without morals and if you have morals you will be punished. Our tax money is being used for such as this…is God going to hold us, you and I responsible for funding legislation such as this. May God have mercy on America.

    • Maddie

look. you cant stop the gays. just be glad it stopped being socially acceptable to rape 7 year old children.

  • Bruce in AZ

This legislation is a back door way to restore affirmative action in a piecemeal fashion while pandering to a “victim group”.

  • Reddy Martin

Obama-Scare must not merely be postponed or even amended…it must be repealed in its entirety…it infringes upon every citizens freedom, by mandating restrictions which threaten the plans we’ve chosen to select. It simply is not affordable to a huge majority of people, and the deductibles are totally unrealistic. And the death-panels are an anathema to everyone qualified to vote…it has been lied about, like everything else in the plan.

    • Reddy Martin

I might add: Please support FairTax: It is mandated to abolish the IRS (the only plan that does so); that is the enforcement agency of Obama-Scare; 2) It eliminates ALL Fed taxation, to yield to a State-collected Sales tax; which is levied on NEW merchandise, only. 3) All American citizens, as head of household receive a $220+/mo ‘prebate’, which the spouse gets a matching amount; plus additional $75+/mo for each dependent child within that home.
There are other tangible benefits, as well! HR-25:Ways/Means: also S-122 (Senate) to be voted on within 40-60 days. Contact your Rep and Senators!

This site needs to provide a method for correcting typos lprior to sending message. Currently I was unable to back space or page back in order to make corrections so I was doeced to send my message with typing errors. Makes me appear to be a dumb person to be ignored as irrelevant.

This site musy have been produced by the sma people that did Obamacare, a bit incomplete. Tried to fill out info and just does’nt get their.

  • Teri Eggert

Lets keep it simple stupid. What does EDNA exactly do, that isn’t already covered by protection laws? I would think that we have a lot more important things that need to be addressed than another law that let’s the Government over-regulate business and increase the growth of Federal Government. This looks more like a diversion tactic than dealing with the real issues that are starting to erupt like a chain of volcano’s.

Something is wrong. I could not submit my letter to Congress, so here it is.
    I oppose S. 815: Employment Non-Discrimination Act of 2013
because..it creates special privileges for self defined groups. It is a choice
to act and live as a homosexual or have an operation to change your biological
gender. No special privileges should be granted or are needed, not at the
expense of liberty and conscience for those who play the hand they are dealt. I
and everyone should continue to have the right and freedom of association,
without laws hindering our liberties because self indulgent groups demand
approval. I will not approve. Toleration is allowing to exist that which Ipersonally
and morally abhor. I will tolerate. I will not compromise my civil liberties
for special privileges for a few who have the same civil liberties already.
Approval and special privileges are not necessary for civil liberties. Neither
I nor anyone should be forced to associate with, employ or approve of anyone.

    • Maddie

Its a choice to be homosexual? wow. then please demonstrate how sexual orientation is a choice by becoming homosexual. you cant, can you? neither can they.

No e-mail confirmation so I don’t know if it got sent…

Here is my response from my Ohio Democrat Senator Sherrod Brown … creating a “special” legislation to a select few … another unjust piece of legislation!

Thank you for sharing your concerns about the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA). I appreciate the opportunity to share why I am a cosponsor of this important legislation.

Every year, qualified, hard-working Americans are denied job opportunities because they are gay, lesbian, or bisexual. Many others fear they may lose their jobs. It is unacceptable that in many states, it is legal to fire individuals otherwise qualified simply because of their sexual orientation.

ENDA is a common-sense solution to this problem. It extends current federal employment discrimination protections based on race, religion, gender, national origin, age, and disability to include sexual orientation. ENDA extends fair employment practices — not special rights — to all Americans. It would prohibit employers, employment agencies, and labor unions from using an individual’s sexual orientation as the basis for employment decisions such as hiring, firing, promotion, or compensation.

Should the Employment Non-Discrimination Act come before the Senate for a vote, I will support it. Thank you again for getting in touch with me.

    Sincerely,

    Sherrod Brown
    United States Senator

Let’s create another group that is entitled to special protections! Freedom loving, God fearing gun owners who think they are taxed enough already. YES! The TEA Party members have been persecuted in the press. They have been discriminated against by the IRS as well as other Obama administration departments. They are subject to slurs and mistreatment anytime they dare to speak out about the constitutionality or unconstitutionality of recent laws passed. In the workplace, they must remain in the closet out of fear of loosing their jobs. They are denied promotions and raises by socialist bosses. They are passed over when applying for government jobs and they are dismissed from the military for daring to profess their religious and political feelings.

Yes, how about some protections for this group too? It should be obvious to anyone with an IQ above that of rock moss that the TEA Party (a.k.a Conservatives) are in desperate need of protection unless you would prefer they defend themselves.

    • rondu1142

You’re certainly right Tony. Minorities want special protection, and when they get it, they close the door. When others want special protection, they fight it. Why do different groups, comprised of only 1 or 2 percent of the population, get to decide what the rules will be for the other 98 or 99 percent of us?

  • pghpatriot

…. and tomorrow another radical liberal will draft a bill that FORCES you to hire a gay couple caught in the act of screwing on the welcome mat of your business entrance. The more radical, the better! We already have laws that guarantee non-discriminatory hiring! This is merely an attempt for the most radical TO BULLY into getting what they want.

I wish a cross-dressing transgender, wearing a beautiful rainbow ‘TU-TU’ would prance into every Senator’s office, especially the Democrats, and demand they hire them as an intern! Can’t you just hear the EXCUSES? We’d see in very short order which ones would put the political money where their political butthole is!

They wouldn’t do it, but they have no problem forcing the country into it. Just like the obamacare subsidy they apparently feel entitled to, but we aren’t.

AMERICA! It’s time to CLEAN HOUSE!!!!! Start with the radical, lying two-faced obama and his dufuss trolls, and end with the spineless, integrity-less, unconstitutional, Republican RINO prima donnas, who never met a Principle or Right they would defend and stand for.

  • gypsy314

Folks if Americans can not take America back from Lying democrats civil war will do.

  • LIBERTYUNITER

I love and appreciate Heritage Action’s willingness to gather and provide key issues in one place where the public can get involved and send petitions to their reps to stop the willful destruction of our great Nation by a man who has as much business being in the White House as a fish has living in a tree. These people are so well organized that you and must double our efforts every day because Satan never sleeps and neither does the seed of Satan or his minions. GOD BLESS AMERICA… (it would also help our cause to start petitioning God for His help!)

  • Charles Grudem, MD

Narcissistic, massively arrogant Progressive(s) are trying to dilute the energy and $ resources of opponents by multiple angle attacks on the fundamental liberties and free markets that made (past tense) the USA the greatest land of personal AND economic opportunity for ALL, including those with preferences that ARE & SHOULD STAY PRIVATE.

    • Maddie

well then if I own a business someday, I want to be able to fire someone for being straight. oh you don’t like that? TOO FUCKING BAAAD!

      • Charles Grudem, MD

To Mad-E: (name fits the response). Having actually owned several small businesses for 4 decades, I can tell you – an employer already CAN do that in right to work states for any or no reason – that keeps the focus on being a useful productive person – not who or what tickles your genitals. A good mgr doesn’t care about your self image. Get a real job or life if you have time to weird out on a bizarre “mission” where your fantasy about why people hire or fire workers. Also see a Dr.about your WTF anger problem. BTW I am a 2nd (and all) amendment advocate. Be Nice, please.
