Happy Obamacare Day!

We’re sure you’re spending the day celebrating the increase of healthcare costs and the decrease of freedom that is synonymous with President Obama’s government takeover of the healthcare industry. So on this two year anniversary, let us remember that we were promised we could keep our health insurance if we liked it, our costs would go down, the law would not bust the budget and that it would simply open up more choices for health options.

What we got was the exact opposite.

As Obamacare enters its terrible twos, President Obama is in hiding. But Heritage Action will be celebrating this momentous occasion tomorrow, with a rally for full repeal.

Tomorrow in Washington DC, conservatives will gather in Upper Senate Park to protest Obamacare and demand its repeal. This government takeover of health care shocked us when it passed, and conservatives – joined by independents and even some liberals – across the country have worked tirelessly for its repeal.

We’ve said time and again that it’s time to send a message to the political class in Washington: our resolve for full repeal of Obamacare has never been stronger. That’s why we sent a strongly-worded letter to House Republican leadership and why we are, for the first time, co-sponsoring a rally in Washington, DC.

The rally starts at noon in Upper Senate Park, and our Heritage Action team will be there with “Repeal Obamacare” bumper stickers. Around 1pm, Deputy Political Director Nathanael Yellis will take the stage to talk about holding Congress accountable to their promise to repeal all of Obamacare.

Join us on Saturday to send a strong message that we do not want the federal government telling us what healthcare to buy, or what treatments we can receive. The more supporters that join our fight, the more the mainstream media, lawmakers and the administration will have to take notice.
