53% of Americans Support Repeal of Obamacare
A solid majority of Americans continue to support the repeal of President Obama’s government takeover of healthcare. According to a new report from Rasmussen, 53% of likely voters want the law repealed and, since the Supreme Court decided to take up the constitutionality of the law, believe that repeal is likely.
Another poll from Rasmussen shows that 69% think that the federal government has no authority to force Americans to purchase health insurance. This does not bode well for President Obama, who faces a decision on this very case during his re-election campaign. If the Supreme Court finds the mandate unconstitutional, it will be as detrimental to the President as the collapse of Lehman Brothers was for Sen. John McCain in 2008.
