Analysis: This week the House is expected to consider the Water Resources Reform and Development Act (WRDA).  This bill will allow the federal government to spend taxpayer money on activities that would be more appropriately and efficiently managed by states, localities, or the private sector.  Lawmakers should be allowed to offer amendments to fix the bill’s numerous shortcomings and questionable provisions.

House Cloakroom:

Analysis: The schedule this week remains unsettled.  The House is likely to continue sending targeted funding bills to the Senate.   Since President Obama and Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) 13% shut down the government to protect Obamacare, the House has sent more than a dozen funding bills to the Senate.
