The political pressure from the left to pass “comprehensive immigration reform” has been building for months. It’s time for conservatives to fight back.

We are key-voting the new Senate gun control bill
. The Senate could vote on the bill as early as next week.
Now is the time to email your Senators so they know where you stand on the Second Amendment.
The Second Amendment protects the right of individuals to privately keep and bear their own firearms that are suitable as individual weapons for hunting, sport shooting, self-protection, and other lawful purposes. Federal law should not erode and undermine this right.

It’s time to tell your Representative to support the Salmon Rule.
In a recent Op-Ed, Rep. Salmon laid out the details of the rule:
From this point forward, I will vote against the rule for bills that increase spending without offsetting spending cuts and encourage my other conservative colleagues to do the same. Similarly, if House leadership brings any more bills to the floor without first securing the support from the majority of the GOP conference, I will take the same action.
Opposing bills if a majority of the House GOP opposes them is a strong stand, one that would have prevented VAWA and other bad policy from passing the House.
By supporting the Salmon Rule, you will be telling Congress to vote against any Rule on a bill that doesn’t have the support of the majority of the majority. Email your Representative to support the Salmon Rule now.

We are including the vote on S. 336, the Marketplace Fairness Act
, in our legislative scorecard. The conservative position is to oppose this bill, as it allows state and local governments to impose sales taxes on online commerce. Not only would this law potentially increase taxes on consumers, but it would subject companies to taxes in jurisdictions where they have no representation.
The Senate is set to vote on this bill soon. Use the form below to email your Senators in opposition this “fairness” tax-increase.
We support H.R. 890, a bill that will repeal the Obama administration’s July 12, 2012 memo allowing states to seek waivers for welfare work requirements. The House vote will appear on our scorecard
The Obama administration should not have tried to circumvent the law by waiving the work requirements. The work requirement, established under the 1996 welfare reform law, has been hugely successful in helping people – especially children and female headed families – to get themselves out of poverty.
