This week the Senate will take up the Corker-Cardin Iran bill or S. 615.
What is happening with Iran? The Obama Administration is in the final stages of negotiating a bad deal with Iran would allow the country to keep more than 6,000 operational centrifuges. Under this deal Iran wouldn’t even have to renounce terrorism or recognize Israel. It’s a bad deal for America and for the safety of the world.
What does the Corker-Cardin bill do? The Corker Cardin bill (S. 615) sets up a sham disapproval process on any presidential agreement with Iran. If passed, Congress would essentially be lowering the number of Senators needed to approve a bad international agreement from 67 to 34. This bill will not help stop President Obama’s Iran deal.
What can you do? Call your senators and urge them to vote “NO” on the Corker-Cardin Iran bill.
America cannot afford to give the Obama administration unchecked authority to negotiate with Iran– stop the Corker-Cardin Iran bill.
Call your senators today.
Doc Fix will Cost America $500 Billion
A report released by the Congressional Budget Office confirms the doc fix deal negotiated by Speaker Boehner and Nancy Pelosi is a budget buster. It could drive America $500 billion further into debt.
It’s irresponsible, unsustainable, and worse than we originally thought.
Even President Obama has publicly said he’s ready to sign this so-called doc fix. If Barack Obama is eager to sign it and Nancy Pelosi has blessed it, you know it can’t be good.
The House is scheduled to vote on the Doc Fix deal today – and many lawmakers are still on the fence.
> > Don’t let your Representative cave into pressure and approve $500 billion of debt. Call them today.
Conservatives have a principled plan that solves the problems of Medicare. But Boehner and Pelosi are trying to take the easy way out: adding hundreds of billions to our nation’s already massive debt.
Make the call to your lawmaker today and tell them to vote “NO” to the Doc Fix plan.
The House of Representatives is scheduled to vote tomorrow morning on the reauthorization of No Child Left Behind.
We must apply pressure to ensure your lawmaker votes “NO” on H.R. 5.
First Congress had a chance to put an end to government intervention in America’s education, but the Republican-controlled House is trying to reauthorize No Child Left Behind (H.R. 5). This bill falls short on every measure of a bold conservative education plan.
Then Conservatives like Reps. Matt Salmon,Ron DeSantis, Mark Walker and Luke Messer offered amendments that would have dramatically improved the bill and benefited America’s children. However, those amendments were ruled out of order!
Now The House will be voting tomorrow on an outdated, bureaucratic and ineffective education policy. We can’t let America’s children get stuck with No Child Left Behind (H.R. 5) until 2021.
What you can do: Call your Representative and urge them to oppose the reauthorization of No Child Left Behind (H.R 5).
Today, the House should have been voting to ban abortions after five months.
Even though six in 10 Americans supported the bill, the House caved to pressure from the bipartisan liberal establishment.
The question stands: Why did they abandon a bill that would have saved 11,000 lives?
This would have been a huge step forward for protecting the lives of unborn children. Instead, the Republican-controlled House abandoned a popular, principled bill they passed without controversy in 2013.
Call your lawmaker and find out if they supported pulling this bill from the floor.
Thursday’s House Vote is for Show
House Republicans are planning to give up their only leverage over Barack Obama and Harry Reid. They want to pass a long-term spending bill that doesn’t defund the President’s executive amnesty. Instead, they are planning a show vote today against Obama’s amnesty, and then promising to fight anew next year.
This course of action is unacceptable. If they’re not willing to fight now, experience tells us they won’t ever be.
