What was that? Oh Yes, Obamacare is Failing Us

Sen. Chuck Schumer recently conceded that Obamacare is “part” of the reason healthcare costs are increasing.

It certainly is.  Time and time again politicians have admitted that Obamacare is a problem, and even the law’s key architect, Sen. Max Baucus (D-MT) said it’s a “train wreck coming.”  Heritage states:

In light of negative comments made by Congressional Democrats, President Obama discussed the implementation of Obamacare at a press conference this week, explaining that “even if we do everything perfectly, there’ll still be, you know, glitches and bumps, and there’ll be stories that can be written that says, oh, look, this thing’s, you know, not working the way it’s supposed to, and this happened and that happened.” But Obamacare has been experiencing more than a few “bumps” and “glitches.”

For over three years, the law has received negative public opinion.   Roughly half of all Americans indicate that they don’t even understand this overwhelmingly complex law enough to determine how it will impact their family.  Heritage adds:

[A]nother story about the harmful effects of Obamacare’s employer mandate is in the news. The employer mandate forces all employers with 50 or more full-time employees to offer government-approved health coverage or pay a penalty. To avoid the cost of coverage and the penalty, many employers are increasingly shifting their full-time workers to part time.

Obamacare’s flaws are absolutely glaring.  In light of numerous Democrats admitting so, it seems that political hubris is so much at play among liberals, that they’d just as soon leave it in place and see Americans suffer for it rather than get on board with the rest of Americans who disapprove of the law.

Full repeal is still the only real solution to this massive problem.

  1. Too bad the Media missed the real message in the President’s recent address concerning the implementation of the PPACA. That is, the President conveniently left small group plans out of his discussion as to how the implementation stage is right on schedule. This is huge! It means the Exchanges are unable to price their bid-specs to employer purchasers and are shifting the entire onus of financing onto employee and individual plan purchasers. If the government can’t find the funds for subsidizing the plan purchasers, then coverage will fall, utilization rates will continue to plummet and Obamacare will have been just another stunt by Washington to raise taxes.
