“Snap Elections” Resolution of Disapproval Vote Recap

Yesterday, the Senate voted on the motion to proceed to S.J.Res.36, a joint resolution disapproving the rule submitted by the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) that allows union elections to take place as early as 10 days after an organizing petition is filed, commonly referred to as “snap elections.” We key voted in favor of this resolution because the NLRB rule strips employees of their ability to make an informed decision about what unionization would mean for them and their company. The vote results are below:
