No Need for NAT GAS Act
There is no need for the NAT GAS Act (H.R.1380 / S.1863). Don’t take it from us – good conservatives who oppose the plan on principle – take it from T. Boone Pickens. Mr. Pickens, of course, has been a prominent supporter of the NAT GAS Act.
In an interview on CNN, Mr. Pickens acknowledged that heavy-duty trucks are “moving now from diesel to natural gas and it will probably take you about five years” to complete the transition. The reason they are making the transition, according to Pickens, is that “natural gas is $2 a gallon cheaper than diesel.”
In short, the market appears to work!
