UPDATED: House Passes Rule to Take Up Obamacare Repeal

We’ve previously linked to HR 2, the two page bill that would repeal Obamacare in its entirety. Today, the House passed a rule that will bring up that bill for debate on Wednesday, the 12th.

Now is the time to urge your Representative to vote for this important bill.

UPDATE (h/t Politico):

The four Democrats who supported Republicans in the procedural vote Friday all opposed health care reform in March. They are Reps. Dan Boren of Oklahoma, Mike Ross of Arkansas, and Larry Kissell and Mike McIntyre of North Carolina.

  1. I saw the Washington compost had called the vote “mostly symbolic” — if true, what does that mean for the “healthcare bill” which was NEVER VOTED ON in its’ entirety OR by the voice vote as specified by that “pesky” Constitution?! Obummacare is illegal and unconstitutional legislation and never should have been considered “law”. Well Done! to the representatives that voted to repeal and here’s fervent hope that Conservatives remain strong, do NOT NEGOTIATE ANY PART with democrat/socialists, and stand for the Constitution and for what’s best for America!

    • This is obvious nonsense, or else our conserative legislators are failing to point it out. Please explain how any of this is socialism. This is pure capitalism. Look it up.

  3. I am thrilled with the Republican votes to repeal. And I’m still disappointed that more Democrats didn’t support repeal. Mostly I wish the MSM would stop framing Obamacare repeal as “pointless” because it is not.

There is no public debate on Healthcare and what it really does to America without this vote. And forcing the Democrats and the President to take a public stand on their poor legislation is very important for 2012. I don’t consider any of that pointless.
