Today, Heritage Action for America announced the hiring of state directors in North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Jessica Anderson and Leo Knepper will head the group's efforts in those states, building a robust grassroots organization focused on repealing Obamacare, reining in spending and rolling back the explosive growth of government.

Heritage Action's CEO Michael A. Needham praised Jessica's and Leo's deep roots in state politics, saying their knowledge of the states and the challenges they face, "will be invaluable as Heritage Action leads the fight to repeal Obamacare, reduce government spending and revive our struggling economy."

"For too long, Washington has ignored the voices of concerned citizens," Needham continued. "Heritage Action will ensure that lawmakers in Washington represent all Americans, not special interests."

Mrs. Anderson comes to Heritage Action from the Civitas Institute in Raleigh, where she led their get-out-the-vote effort, campaign and new media training. Her efforts in North Carolina saw a wave of conservatives elected to the state house, which Republicans now control for the first time since 1898. She is a University of Florida graduate.

Mr. Knepper, a Penn State graduate, has experience in Pennsylvania where he built grassroots networks to fight against abuses in the state house, including the massive uprising against the infamous midnight pay raise, and worked to elect conservative candidates. He is currently pursuing an MBA at Penn State.
