Local: Childers disavows repeal, blames Republicans and smacks Pelosi

“‘I’ll sign a discharge petition or do whatever is necessary to get that horrible bill of the books,’ Nunnelee said.

“Childers said bipartisanship could have saved the bill. ‘If (Nunnelee’s) party would have come to the table and worked on the bill, I think it could have been a better bill.”

“When asked to give each other one piece of advice, Nunnelee told Childers, ‘Don’t vote for Nancy Pelosi.’ Childers responded by saying he would rather have a more moderate person fill the role of speaker of the house. ‘I would like to see someone in the speaker seat who is pro-life and pro-gun like most Mississippians,’ Childers said.”
